Girls weekend
Booked this cottage via The Coniston Hall Hotel reception. The reception were casual to say the least about my booking, the didn't send me confirmation of the payment for deposit and balance payment despite it being well over ? 1200 . Nice property ,well equipped kitchen. Plenty of crockery & cutlery. On arrival we were taken to The Thack by staff from the hotel and when we mentioned the lack of seating,he said that no one had EVER mentioned the number of seats before, and that nothing could be done about it anyway ! The lounge only had comfy seating for 6 people ! Some of our party had to sit on bean bags on the floor....we are 8 women of a certain age and found that quite challenging. He did say that people who rent don't normally all sit in the same room all together ? I dread to think how we could have coped if there were 10 of us it the property. We nearly brought some of the wooden garden furniture in to sit on but decide not to! There was a spare armchair in one of the bedrooms but it would have been impossible for us to get it down the stairs. The doors to the bedrooms were quite difficult to keep closed ( gate type latches )as the floors were not very level and they kept swinging open. The upstairs bathroom at the end of the corridor the toilet was running the whole weekend ,so you could hear it in the bedrooms ( louder as the door kept swinging open ) Loved the hot tub and outside area, never been to this area before. Liked the area with friendly people and nice pubs and cafes Great weekend ....quiet and relaxing but if there are more than 6 of you check out the seating arrangements in the lounge !! Maybe mention this when making a booking .

Great Family Holiday!!
Can't rave about this place enough, the location is fantastic......nice and quiet. The decor and facilities are top class, the kids loved the hot tub which was nice and new and well looked after and the water is changed between guests. We booked an offer which included a hamper on our arrival and the amount of produce included was impressive.....the sticky toffee pudding and quiche was ample for us all. On top of being happy with the property the facilities and activities at the hotel can't be faulted. Louise and the staff at the hotel always went out of their way to make sure we felt at home and we were enjoying our holiday and have the balance just right as they're attentive without being overbearing. We will definitely be returning and it will be soon!!!

absolutly fantastic
we had a girly weekend here in june and the cottage is amazing.has everything you could wish for.the hot tub gets massive thumbs up from us all.we have a weekend away every year and the hot tub is the priority for us,this one is one of the best we have had.the surroundings of the cottage were beautiful and it is in a great location,we went to skipton and malham as they were nearby.special thanks to the guy who saved our bbq on Saturday night, chris I think his name was, also wendy who saved our sunday dinner, and the hotel manager simon.our only regret is that we were so busy in the cottage and hot tub that we never had chance to use the spa in the hotel! will definatly be recommending this cottage to others and hopefully be back for another weekend in the near future.
