Great accommodation for a family holiday
The bedrooms are spacious and all bar one are en-suite which is a big bonus. The family bathroom is beautiful so no hardship for the other bedroom user! Kitchen has everything you need including dishwasher. Dining room has space for everyone and the sitting room is nice and comfy. House was nice and clean, and no issues with the parking as we had noted that it was a small space. If you have a large car you will struggle so better to park round the corner! We needed to contact the owner following our stay who was really helpful.

Unfortunate stay
Sadly our weekend started off badly with our stay at Fairleigh, when we arrived we hadn't been informed that the keys for front door didn't work and eventually with the help of the neighbour we managed to gain entry. Upon entering the property, unfortunately the cleaners hadn't been and it smelt like wet dog! and it was as if the previous people that had stayed had literally just walked out after making a huge load of mess (in more meanings than one, pictures would do justice however they don't make for great viewing!!) During a conversation with the owners who were willing at first to help get onto the cleaners, they didn't need to as the cleaners eventually turned up, with very little apology (and proceeded to cause a huge drama with the neighbours by working over their drive, which wasn't great when we had kids waiting in the property) and it just meant us staying in the house (which also didn't smell pleasant) for approx 1hours 30mins whilst they cleaned. Unfortunately after this, the owner wasn't much help, offering a bottle of wine for our inconvenience, however it had totally ruined our first day (out of only 2) we expressed a bottle of wine wasn't much compensation for the mess and inconvenience and for what we had paid to stay there for 2 nights, the price was not justifiable in the slightest. Then we had no reply whatsoever from the owners after a couple of attempts to get this resolved. Hopefully all the above issues have been resolved for people staying in the future, it's just a shame that our first day was ruined and nothing has been done to compensate for this.

small inconveniences
Lovely house, very spacious and fab bedrooms. Kitchen is very nice and modern. Living room tv remote is very slow but could be the batteries running out. Biggest issue was the parking as we had two cars and had to park one near the school but isn?t too far away. Quite difficult to park at the house, our car got scratched as a result of a pipe sticking out from the house. The house is on a very busy road and you are unable to pull up outside the house at all. Not much of a garden, the back of the house is just a shared yard, wouldn?t be anywhere to let your dog out. As you can see by the images I have attached, it is apparent that the cleaners have not checked everything thoroughly. We found a packet of mouldy bread buns at the top of a cupboard. Our youngest consumed some of the milk packets left for us for teas and coffees and complained it didn?t taste right, we then checked the date of the milk to find they were out of date 25/07/20 not very good. The bins were full, very unpleasant as you can see them from the dining room window, so someone had forgotten to leave them out for the bin men, but this then meant we added more rubbish which couldn?t fit in the bin and this would be the case for the rest of the guests staying until the next Wednesday. Some issues with the cleanliness of the rooms, toilet seats not 100% clean, lights and draws dirty, rubbish left in drawers from previous guests, crumbs in the sofa bed when we unfolded it. Cleaners need to double check things!! Other than that we had a lovely stay, probably wouldn?t stay again though.
