Perfectly placed, clean and comfy cottage
Ideal cottage for a family, with a small play area and a short walk into Whitby itself, over the viaduct. The cottage is clean and tidy, warm and very welcoming. It has all facilities that you need and has a small garden and outside eating area that attracts the wildlife which is nice to watch. The owners are very helpful and accommodating. There is plenty to do nearby and we didn't really use the car much during the week which was good. The pool wasn't ideal for our 3year old as it is deep throughout and the showers in the changing room are awful but you can have a shower back at the cottage. Overall it was a lovely holiday cottage

Well placed clean cottage
We have just returned from a week in Cha Cha's cottage which, on turning the key found to be clean and comfortable. It was a little smaller than I expected and I found the kingsize bed rather hard and ended up in the single bed, leaving my husband to spread out in a bed which he found to be comfortable. We joke that I am the princess of the pea story! It's well placed with a large supermarket not far away and Botham Bakery just a little further up the road (saving on finding a parking space in town), where I bought my chocolate japs, which are as delicious as I remembered. By mid week we had got used to some of the quirks of the property and had a lovely week. Ryedale Folk Museum is a gem and the cake at the Forge in the village is to die for. We also enjoyed Runswick Bay, Goathland, Eden Camp and Whitby itself with Fish and Chips at the Fisherman's Wife. Lovely view and fish with no batter as I like it.
