Earnley Butterflies and Gardens
Earnley Butterflies and Gardens
There are really three attractions in one at Earnley Gardens and Butterflies; first, there are the gardens, with 17 themed garden areas. Associated with the garden is a habitat for rare and unusual species of butterflies. Then there is Noah's Ark, an animal and reptile rescue centre, where you will find such diverse species as giant tortoise and boa-constrictors, to chinchilla, chipmunks, and rodents.

And, finally, there is Rejectamenta, an unusual name for an unusual collection of nostalgia, showcasing objects of everyday life from the past 100 years. But that's not all, for in the Rejectamenta area is a special exhibit on the HMS Hazardous, a sailing vessel which sunk near here in 1706.

The gardens feature a children's quiz trail, but adults will enjoy wandering through themed garden rooms, each unique and offering something a little different.
