Outerthwaite Cottage is a semi-detached cottage on a working farm near Flookburgh, a couple of miles from Cartmel. The cottage has a king-size double and a twin room, a bathroom, kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with electric fire. Outside is ample off road parking, and an enclosed patio with furniture.
Outerthwaite Cottage is ideally placed for exploring the Lake District, Morecambe Bay and Furness Peninsula.

Set in a very quite idyllic place, perfect for winding down from a hectic lifestyle. The Cottage is wonderful, very well presented and maintained, a credit to the owner. I am going too book again for next year.

We stayed in this wonderful, very comfortable, very cosy and well furnished property during the October 2014 half term break. We were met by the very friendly owner who made us feel most at home. Outerthwaite Cottage is based on a working farm and is situated a short drive away from Cartmel and Grange over Sands. We would certainly recommend Outerthwaite Cottage as an ideal holiday location to also explore Windermere, Bowness, Ambleside, Grizedale Forest and other numerous locations in Cumbria. We took a short drive down to Humphrey Head and parked up to admire the scenic views. We would also recommend that this would be an excellent place to walk to and explore. A short drive away we also found two excellent pubs which both had a super atmosphere and served good food, namely the Pheasant Inn and the Rose and Crown. We highly recommend Outerthwaite Cottage.
