Perfect, idyllic retreat.
Loved staying here, booked by friends. Miles away from the hubbub of normal busy life, yet only a couple of minutes from the A40, so easy to get to. Really well equipped, great kitchen, large lounge and dining area, comfy seats...yes soooo comfy..... and large clean bathrooms. Towels etc supplied, and all the mod cons. It?s a bit like the Tardis, looks quaint and small from the outside, but inside it?s enormous! Dog friendly too. Wonderful place to chill for a few days, with walks etc right on our doorstep. Perfect.

Beautiful cottage for spending time with good friends
We stayed at Ganarew Cottage at the end of February for my friend's hen weekend. We wanted a comfortable, welcoming place where we could relax between activities! Ganarew cottage was ideal. Whilst it looks quite small from the outside, it is very spacious inside and the light, clean decor gives it a lovely luxurious feel. There were 8 of us all together and there was plenty of room for everyone to get involved in the kitchen and we enjoyed some lovely meals around the dining table. The wood burning stove was an added bonus! The property is very well maintained and the owner was exceptionally helpful. We recommend 'The Moody Cow' for dinner, 'Monnow Events' for outdoors activities and Eastnor Pottery for a more creative experience!

Perfect setting in a pretty hamlet. Decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Very comfortable beds. Convenient to Monmouth and Forest of Dean. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be booking the cottage again next year.

The house was fantastic; so spacious and comfortable. There were 8 of us staying and we did not feel overcrowded at all. We didn't want to go home and will definitely stay there again.
