The Retreat is a lovely cottage near the village of Appledore, just four miles from Bideford. The cottage sleeps four people and has one double bedroom, one twin and a ground floor family bathroom. Also in the cottage is a fitted kitchen with a dining area and a sitting area with an electric fire.
Outside is roadside parking and an enclosed courtyard with furniture and a barbecue. Situated next to the River Torridge, The Retreat is a lovely holiday home at any time of the year.

Just lovely
My daughter and I have just stayed in this delightful little cottage.(It is very small with low beams and doorways and the kitchen is a tight squeeze so larger/taller folk be warned!) It is well equipped, spotlessly clean and absolutely everything has been thought of, from a salad spinner to children's games and dvds! It is situated in a lovely village with quaint, narrow streets and very welcoming local residents. The cottage is situated on the coastal path from where you can walk to Westward Ho!

We have fallen in love with Appledore and visited many times, twice using this cottage. It is quirky, comfortable with interesting ornaments and decorations. A lovely friendly dog called Remus lives next door and a Robin will take food from your hand in the garden.

Lovely character cottage ,short walk to the sea nice and cosy .good place to get away to. Nice walks to go on and doggie friendly.Walk or drive to Westwood Ho! There is a really good butcher. Loved the narrow streets of Appledore .
