Well equipped cottage in a great location
This is a nice cottage, very well equipped, very clean, and sitting right at the harbour (though still very quiet). We spent Christmas week here and were delighted to find a Christmas tree and a few decorations had been put up for us. That was a lovely touch which was much appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need for a week's self catering, even at Christmas. There are a couple of things that would take this cottage from a 4 to a 5 rating. The mattresses are very soft and the bedding is very old and tired. The thermostat for the central heating is on the wall above the wood burner, so as soon as you light the fire, the central heating switches itself off. Result: cold bedrooms and an unpleasantly cold bathroom. This would be a simple fix - move the thermostat away from the fire!

Nice position
The cottage is very well equipped and in a lovely position. Views of the harbour from rear windows are really nice. . We left the cottage early because it has the most uncomfortable sofas I have ever sat on. We arrived as the cleaner was leaving, the first thing I did was bleach the sink waste and plugs and washing up bowl..No fault of the owners who have to trust cleaners.

Redgate - Well worth a short or long stay!
Dog friendly quiet cottage backing on to the Harbour with great views towards Warkworth Castle. Airy, Bright, Very Clean, comfortable, lovely bathroom. Log fire & central heating. Walking distance Shops, restaurants take aways & pubs.Sunday market on harbour plenty of walks/places to visit. Would come back again.

Excellent stay in a very well positioned and comfortable cottage
Been for a weeks break with our 2 dogs, the cottage was comfortable and well equipped. A lovely log burner was very welcomed in the extremely cold weather. This is a spacious cottage and its back red gate takes you to the Harbour and another 50 yards to the beach. The bathroom has a wow factor with a lovely deep slipper bath and a very spacious rain forest type shower. A nice little enclosed garden allows you to dry off the dogs before taking them in. Amble is a fab little place with lots to see and do, good food restaurants, pubs, take aways, ice cream parlour, fish and chips, retail pods to name a few and all on the door step. Take a very short car ride to Circa and have a cream tea! A great week, many thanks for allowing us to stay with our fur boys.
