Very disappointing
Arriving at the cottage via the back door the first thing I noticed was the ash tray fixed to the wall was completely full, the stairs to the top garden were overgrown with brambles and the handrail overgrown with ivy working our way to the top we saw to old plastic chairs one on its side the other on its back.
We entered the kitchen where the tiles are coming away from the wall behind the sink the cutlery is cheap and the tea spoons stained on the back easily cleaned with scotch brute,I turned the toaster upside down and an avalanche of crumbs fell out how old they are I dread to think, the sockets behind the hob are yellow and very grubby. The ceiling hasn?t been cleaned or painted in years.
The mirror on the wardrobe door is filthy you could write on it the same applies to the mirror on the wall ,the paintwork is grubby around the light switch .
The bathroom is nicely done but the door has a window in it which is covered with an odd piece of cloth,a white melamine shelf has been added and supported with industrial looking brackets which has spoilt a nice bathroom.
There is no back gate so you're child or dog could just wander off. I have just returned home leaving a day early. If the owners of this property we're there to meet you and you paid at the end of the week it would be a different situation.

Beautiful cottage but let down in areas
Beautiful cottage I loved it -we all did. If you want beautiful and scenic then this is the place for you. Unfortunately, it's really tired and not the cleanest. The bedding is very old and thin, pillows stained and flat. Bed has given me a bad back. Kitchen cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired thick grease around cooker top and in grout. Oven was clean. Fridge was also clean. Kitchen cluttered. Nice touch of wine and chocolate and fresh flowers. Log burner lovely. Strange set up in lounge, two weird office type chairs and a futon that has seen better days. Bathroom clean except black handprint marks on doors and floor could have been cleaner. Bedrooms dusty and a few cobwebs found. Just needs a deep clean and new bedding especially pillows. The quilt on the lower bunk didn?t even fit and was not much thicker than a blanket. The cottage does have a nice feel and I just think these points being sorted it would be perfect.

Wonderful dog friendly place to stay to tour Snowdonia
Just back from a 4 day weekend with 2 very tired dogs. Wonderful cottage, very clean and comfortable, (loved the Elephant room).
The cottage is right next to an amazing waterfall, near the town and well placed for walking the mountain paths and touring into Snowdonia.
We have had just such a good time there and would recommend others wanting to do the same things.
Also visit the Manod Free house near by, Very welcoming to us and dog friendly.
We came back wishing we had booked longer there :-)
