Plas Madog Isa, in the Conwy Valley, is a great family holiday house. Sitting in a peaceful location on the outskirts of the bustling town of Llanrwst, this unique house has won architectural awards for its design. It also enjoys lovely views over fields towards the opposite side of the valley.
The kitchen is modern and well equipped. Like most rooms in the house, it has a glass door which opens out onto the garden. The large, comfortable sitting room is a lovely 'feel good' room, with views across the valley.
On fine days, sunlight streams through the doors that open out onto the terrace. There are three good sized bedrooms. On the ground floor there is a double room and a twin room with zip and link mattresses which can be made into a super king size bed.
On the ground floor there is also a bathroom with a bath, separate shower cubicle, loo and wash hand basin. The master bedroom upstairs has a king size bed and an en-suite shower room with loo and wash hand basin. The large private garden is a lovely space to relax in.
On sunny days the terrace is a real sun trap. There is much to see and do in and around this picturesque Welsh market town. For food lovers, there is a delicatessen, a wine shop and a restaurant all on one road.
Nearby is Gwydir castle, a historic destination well worth a visit. For those looking for a bit more action, the Treetops adventure centre is a must, if you can stomach the heights! Just 15 minutes' drive away is the popular Bodnant Gardens, which offers something different to admire with each season. This lovely holiday house provides the perfect base for exploring this stunning part of North Wales.

New year break
Stayed here with friends for a 3 night new year break. Property is in a great location, 5-10mins drive from Betws-y-Coed, and 25mins from Llandudno.
Rooms are a good size, the views are great and although I only spoke to the caretaker on the phone he seemed a pleasant chap. Worth a visit if you want to use the house as a base for exploring north Wales/Snowdonia.
