This detached, pet friendly, timber cottage which is built on stilts sleeps 6 people in the village of Laggan which featured in the BBC drama series, Monarch Of The Glen, and is in the heart of The Cairngorms National Park.

This attractive property is quite quirky because it's a constructed wholly of wood and rests on the edge of a hill. This house offers some of the best views of Scotland around and you can clearly see both Ben Alder and Craig Meagaidh mountains from the property. The house is light and airy and has a double-height ceiling in the open plan living area.

The open plan living area comprises of a large sitting area, fully fitted modern kitchen, eating area and an additional seating area with large windows from which you can see the Scottish mountains and stretching landscape. The property has 2 twin bedrooms, 1 double bedroom with en suite bathroom, a log stove in the sitting area and a large decked veranda.

After a weeks stay at the Drey i felt it was in need of some upgrading a good clean and some TLC. Not sure the notes displayed in the toilets/bedrooms were necessary.

We are just coming to the end of a week stay here. It's been fantastic with lots of walking. The house had everything we needed with spectacular views, clean towels and sheets, fully equipped kitchen and a lovely log burning stove. We can highly recommend renting this place if you are considering coming to the highlands. It has a lovely local shop too within very close walking distance.

A great find
Just back from this beautiful cottage in an amazing location. The owners have put a lot of thought into supplying everything you need for your stay - the house was warm and cosy and clean, the kitchen well stocked with equipment and beds comfortable. I would love to stay there again.

A wonderful property with spectacular views. Will definitely visit again.

Amazing place, all the facilities we needed. Great location to get to Nevis and Cairngorm ski areas, mountain biking and more.
