Spotless cottage, excellent location
This is a very well presented cottage, spotlessly clean and in an excellent location, especially for walking. There are several options to walk directly from the cottage including over Kinder. The log burner is a real comfort on those cooler evenings. The owner and cleaner were fantastically helpful when we needed them but this was not due to any failing of the cottage - rather an issue of our own making!

Super, cosy cottage
Heating very efficient and cottage warm and cosy. Kitchen fairly well equipped and nice large fridge freezer. Beds fairly comfortable and bathroom spotless and nice towels provided. Efficient wifi appreciated. We walked from the cottage and did a great walk around Lantern Pike. Great views and very few people around. Lyme Park is not far, only 20 mins and again, great hike and visit to the house. Amazing views from moorland above the house. The cottage lacks glasses, only 3 wine and 3 tumblers. No beer glasses which would have been appreciated, as well as sparkling wine glasses. No matches or firefighters! Bit crucial when trying to make a fire. In the end we bought our own, we did not use any logs from shed and appreciated basketful. Nonetheless, a super cottage! A lovely Easter weekend spent in this beautiful area with great walks, fresh air and cosy cottage to return to.

Stayed here for a week in early March and wasn't disappointed. Cottage was very clean and comfortable with everything you could need to make your stay enjoyable. Hayfield it's is a beautiful village with excellent pubs/hotels for drinks and food and the local people are extremely friendly and kind. The surrounding scenery is breathtakingly beautiful and walks from the door are plenty. You don't really need to use your car if you visit here

A really comfortable home from home. It was our second stay at the cottage and will definitely book again in the future.

The cottage was clean and in a very good location in the village. The beds were very comfortable and the cottage was warm.
