This cottage is beautifully located when it is not a building site. I booked this cottage about nine months prior to my stay. A few days before my arrival the owner contacted me to explain that there was building work going on and we "might" be disturbed. At such short notice my wife and I decided to risk it until 2 days before we were due to take possession the agent, Sykes Cottages, rang us to say the booking was cancelled due to builders cutting through the power supply cable. At such short notice the only acceptable alternative was a more expensive cottage. When I approached the owner asking that they compensate me for the additional cost they refused. I actually called at the site and it was indeed a building site with mechanical diggers all over the place. This is the second time in 3 years that this owner has done this to us and on both occasions because of building work. A most unsatisfactory experience.

Breathtaking Views
My Husband and I stayed here with our 6 month old Puppy for a short vacation in February. The accommodation is lovely, clean and very spacious. We absolutely loved the view from the sitting room and enjoyed having our early morning cuppa watching the babbling river and the ducks. Grassington itself has some lovely little shops and a few hostelries and cafe's so you can enjoy a cold glass of something or something more warming. it is literally a 5-10 minute walk into Grassington. The owners are really lovely and nothing is too much trouble should you need anything. We will definitely be back :)

Everything in the cottage was clean and in abundance. The couches and beds were so comfortable too, there was plenty of room for everyone to sit down. The views were exceptional and it was in walking distance to the town. It was also warm and cosy. We all loved it and would return again.
