A peaceful haven
We were lucky to have a few days here just before the second you know what... it was just what we needed to give us a break away from home before another month of the same four walls. We had such a lovely relaxing time. The apartment is cosy and comfortable and has beautiful views. The surroundings are gorgeous- the lakes, the fields and the wooded areas are lovely to walk around - I?m not sure we would want to share them if they were ours! So, it goes without saying that we are very grateful to Jackie and her family that they do share it all - thank you! Thanks to Alfie and Millie too for the visits - lovely dogs (sorry we couldn?t let you come and cwch on the sofa with us ).
Loads to do in the local area as others have said. Sadly our Severn valley railway trip will have to wait until life returns to a bit of normality again.
We rarely visit the same place twice but I?ve a feeling we will be back one day as I think Colin might try the fly fishing.
Thanks again for your warm welcome, chats and information Jackie - a great host xx

And rela-a-a-a-a-x
When I wanted to get away from "it all" I searched for a cosy spot for 2 people in a quiet setting without having to travel to the wilds of Scotland. We struck gold. I can't believe the expanse of private land available to us, and the glorious view which, thanks to the design of the apartment, is before you whether you're standing at the door, sitting on the couch or at the breakfast bar, or waking up in the comfy bed. And the peace just pervades your being.
The apartment is on the owners' land, near to their house. Jackie is there if you need her but not intrusive - the dogs checked on us from time to time!
The apartment is well equipped - the only thing I would add to my bag next time is an extension lead so I could use my hair straighteners near a fixed mirror - but had I thought to ask Jackie I am sure she would have produced one, and there's a small stand-up mirror in the apartment. Otherwise the apartment is one mirror -handy plug socket away from perfection - just don't forget to duck for the sloping ceilings!
Most of the "local" tourist attractions are outdoors and there are many beautiful walking routes. Jackie and Paul gave us plenty of advice about where to eat/drink/visit and we talked to plenty of friendly local people who gave us more ideas.
So many, in fact, that we didn't cover everything, and are really looking forward to going back!
It's such a lovely spot just to relax - if the weather isn't so good I could just sit and gaze out of the window. It's the perfect place to really be a human "being" instead of a human "doing"

Charming, peaceful and serene. A great place to chill out.
The location is perfect and grounds fantastic. A great part of the country to visit and explore via footpaths going in and out of the grounds with great views from a nearby small hilltop. Plenty of things too do locally National trust properties, Severn valley railway and Bewdley to name a few. Witley Manor is a must visit just a few miles away.
The view from the apartment is really wonderful, great just to sit and look over the lakes while having a drink. The atmosphere is tranquil and peaceful.
Jackie and Paul made us feel really welcome and at home, never been intrusive. Jackie is really lovely lady and can be contacted at any time and has a wealth of local knowledge. Really glad we found this little gem we loved our time there and will visit again.
Almost forgot the little visits from Alfie and Milly, their dogs. Both are lovely and very happy when they get a little fuss.

The Stilehouse Apartment was ideal for us as we wanted a peaceful holiday out in the countryside. The location and views were perfect. Sitting outside in the evening watching the house martins flitting around was so relaxing. Inside, the super comfortable king size bed and the roomy shower make for a very comfortable stay.

This was an excellent place to stay; the owner was very helpful, and the views from the window were beautiful. The locality offers much to offer for the curious browser. Would recommend this as a place to stay.
