Lovely but stinks
From the off I will point out that the cottage itself and surrounding environment is very good. However.. I will say that our cottage smelled like a cross between natural gas and bum hole. I know that's a very juvenile way of explaining it but there's no other way. It's as if the owner didn't even open the door and walk round before renting it out. We've been all across the UK... Ireland, Scotland, outer hebridies etc etc etc but I've never had to try and sleep in something with such an aromatic nature. I am truly sorry for having to give this review as I am in the trade myself in another part of the country. Yet again I apologise. The place itself is very very good. Its simply the smell

Lovely cottage in centre of Bakewell
The location of the cottage is excellent very central for shops, restaurants, pubs and takeaways.Although it in the centre of town it is extremely quiet. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept well.

The cottage was lovely and the beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed both in the cottage and the town. We will hopefully stay there again.

This cottage is lovely and properly equipped for 4 people. The interiors are absolutely like home and in perfect condition. The owners are really helpful and the parking permit makes it easy enough to reside in the middle of Bakewell. This is definitely a place to stay even longer than one week. We'll recommend it and are already longing to come again!

It was one of the most enjoyable properties we have rented, and we have rented very many over the years. It was quiet and peaceful even though it was right in the middle of the town.
