Lovely cottage with good connections
Just back from week staying in this lovely cottage. Nice welcome gift and very friendly owners. Nice walks from cottage some with steep hills. Very near to Staithes and good connections to whitby and Scarborough and Yorkshire coast. Sandwiches cakes and drinks can be obtained from lainey across road beautiful and very reasonable. A very relaxing place to stay.

Excellent Little Hide Away
Stayed a week in this very quiet cottage with all we needed, no mobile phone signal, WIFI, local pub, clean, tidy, well equipped very cosy. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away from the day to day pace of life.

I'd recommend Dalehouse Farm cottages to any family as long as they don't mind hills!
We stayed in Post Box cottage which was ideal as it had 3 bedrooms ( 1 double and 2 single) for a very reasonable price. It was clean and well equipped and an ideal spot for walking the Cleveland Way. We were there at lambing time and Gerard was always happy to discuss the farm and local area even though there was lots going on with lambs being born every day. This is a very hilly area and you can't walk more than 1/4 mile without a slope - we live in Suffolk so are not used to so many hills. Wifi was good but no reception for text messages.

Wonderful place to stay!
We stayed here with our 2 grandchildren in July & it was a wonderful experiance.Gerard, Elaine & Tom were such lovely hosts & the kids loved their tour of the farm with Gerard as did we. The cottage is excellent, spotlessly clean & location is lovely. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family & friends & we intend to return ourselves.

The owners are so welcoming and friendly. As our first holiday as a family I was worried about my toddler settling in but she loved the cottage. The cottage was so clean! My daughter cried when we left she loved it so much. We will be returning! We would really recommend it to all.
