RECENT CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Perfect for a relaxing holiday in a high quality secluded Lodge.
This was our second stay in the sister lodge Moorhen which is totally separate from Heron Lodge but of the same high standard. The two lodges are secluded so provide a haven of peace in a wooded area. It is ideally located for road links to explore the greater area and is a short drive from Inverness. The owners Helen and David provide lots of information and suggestion for places to visit and things to do and are available if required for anything. We were two 60 plus couples who holiday together frequently and we explored a little and returned to the pleasure of the wonderful hot tub each day. The best review I can give is that this is the first time we have returned to any where and can recommend it without hesitation.

Wonderful place to stay
What a fantastic place to stay. Great location to explore the region and beyond. We visited Culloden, Fort Agustus, Cromarty and Inverness to name just s few of the many attractions. One thing I noted was the lack of the dreaded midges, maybe the smoke from the log burning stoves dissuaded the little monsters! This was our second visit to these cabins and, though we have visited Scotland several times, this is the first time we have returned to the same cottage with one of our returning party saying it was "like coming home" and I think that says everything about these lodges. The owners are very friendly and willing to help or resolve any issues without being intrusive. Oh, and soaking in the hot tub after a days holidaying watching and listening to the wildlife is blissful! We will be back!
