Lovely cottage
The cottage is lovely, very spacious. Felt very homely and comfortable. The views from the kitchen is great. The garden has a large space to relax in and for children to play in. You could see the views of the fields and animals like cows and pheasants.
All of the rooms were exceptional, very clean and the utilities were all available to use. The showers are easy to use and the beds were comfy. Nice kitchen to cook in.
The noises from the main road weren?t too much of a problem. If you are used to living near main roads, it is no different.
One of the downsides is the location of the cottage. You are by a busy main road, and getting out can be a pain, especially with a blind corner, you have to be wary.
Don?t know if you could fit 3 cars, because you have to leave enough room for the neighbours? cars to get through.
There isn?t many places to walk to, you would have to cross a busy main road to walk to certain places. You definitely need to drive if you want to Carlisle or the Lake District.
I would say it isn?t old/disabled and children friendly, with no railings by the stairs and can be quite difficult for them. Especially with the dining room and kitchen being upstairs.
If you are tall, just beware of the height of the cottage. You could hit your head on the door ways and light fittings.
Other than that, it has been a lovely pleasant stay and has been a nice week away with family.

Traffic Noise unbearable
We booked this Holiday Cottage hoping to get away for a quiet relaxing holiday. After going through a bereavement in the family, it was much needed.
Firstly the house is very nicely decorated... however, if you are used to living somewhere quiet this is not the house for you!.
It is literally on a main road.
The Traffic noise starts from around 6am and continues until the early hours.
We did look at the map before booking, but it looked like it was situated further back from the Road than what it was.
The Corner that you have to drive out of the house from is really dangerous as the visibility is very limited.
You also have to cross the main Road to walk anywhere or walk on the road down a country lane where there is no path.
So if you are after walks from the door, there isn?t any close by, unless you want to walk next to the main road.
The Garden was nice apart from the constant Barking of the dogs next door.
We spent most of our days away from the House and decided to come home early because it was just too noisy.
We will most certainly not be booking again.
Very disappointed.
(Pictures are the view from the Upstairs Living Room & one of the Bedrooms)
The House does have some Double glazing but sadly due to the proximity of the Road it makes little difference.
