Disappointed / Would not recommend After a tough couple of years, myself and friends booked this cottage for a week to relax. However, relaxing is the complete opposite of what happened. The cottage was left filthy, bearing in mind I had just recovered from covid a month prior to our visit, I did NOT feel safe, it was unacceptable. My sister rung them as soon as we saw how dirty the cottage was to complain and they apologised and said cleaners will be in tomorrow, however we told told them thank you, but to not bother and that we would do it ourselves as they clearly couldn't do there job very well. However, when my sister spoke to me about the conversation she had with the owners I thought that there's no way we should be cleaning this place ourselves for the amount we paid, especially with being in a pandemic. So I rung back the owner and just said unfortunately I just don't feel comfortable here and that we would like a refund as we had paid cancellation fee. He handled the conversation very unprofessionally and felt he was belittling our reasoning for not wanting to stay. One moment the owner is completely on our side, apologising for the state of the house and the next moment he is confused to why we're not staying there just because we asked for a refund. 3 girls in the middle of wales, late at night and after 8 hours of driving with nowhere to stay due to their cottage being so unhygienic. We did try to get a refund, however the owner have refused it, even though we barely stayed an hour! I am disgusted for the way we was treated and how our case was handled especially after paying cancellation fee. I've always thought that 1 or 2 bad reviews aren't too bad but believe in me when I say read the comments on this place BEFORE YOU STAY! We are not the only ones to experience this
