Boxford is a pretty village midway between Hadleigh and Sudbury, just north of the A1071. The parish church of St Mary's stands at a junction of roads in the centre of the village. The first thing you notice about the church is the large south porch, which is strikingly light-coloured and seems to be of a different material than the rest of the building.
