Peace and Quiet
Had a good week in this cottage. Two couples sharing Found the double bed comfortable Two single also but a bit shakey Shower sink and toilet downstairs from kitchen ok Would recommend earlier risers to use this, before kitchen is used ? There are a flies coming in to kitchen Seem to be about four at a time This is general in the country side. Spray or swatter would be handy I used the daily mail from shop down the road All other papers would do just as well Took a slow cooker with us handy when out for a long day But kitchen has everything you need A good food pub up the hill Royal Oak Would book up to eat just in case Was told of a good fish and chip shop in Arnside which is a twenty mins away Also the bake house is a good cafe. Grange over sand 3 miles away Has a Tesco ,co op, Spar Has a promanade for a walk no beach near It has a wet land going on for a couple of miles but very nice Ask for car park that is just above rail line over a iron bridge It is ?1.50 all day ask a local the way On the Saturday we drove to Keswick Unknown to us it was busy Went back in the week and it was better Ask for rugby club car park ?4.00 all day We walked from there to lakeside car park Took the boat across to catbells walked there and caught ferry back ?7.50 return runs every hour Last one back was 20 to 5 check before going Going back to cottage there is only one key that is for side door ? Parking as stated but can use other space if no one at no 1 Beacon high I think only used at weekends. This is a lovely cottage and we enjoyed our stay

Beautifully decorated cottage
The decor was of the highest standard and was a very comfortable cottage. Beware arriving when it's dark and wet though! No light left on and had to climb slippery wet steps in the pitch dark. Also difficult to locate 'green' shed in the dark where the key was located. One match left out with which to light a fire. Other than that, it was a delightful place.

A really lovely English country cottage in a nice quiet village which is an ideal location for exploring the Lake District National Park. The accommodation was very clean, with really nice traditional cottage d?cor and a peaceful patio area upon which to sit and relax while enjoying the colourful private garden. This was our first visit to this property, but as regular visitors to the Lakes I am certain this will become our regular retreat in future. Must also mention that we only booked the accommodation the day before arrival and there were no problems in the property being ready.

The cottage was comfortable, cosy in a good location to see The Lakes. We particularly enjoyed the garden and the open fire. We would recommend and would visit again.

An excellent cottage which was well furnished and equipped with everything we needed for a perfect holiday. It was in a quiet location in Lindale which is an attractive village with lovely countryside all around. Lots of places to visit nearby and we also had good weather in spite of the forecasts! We would certainly recommend this as an ideal place for a holiday.
