This traditional detached hillside cottage is on the edge of Low Row in Swaledale and sleeps six people in three bedrooms.

High Smarber is a traditional stone built detached cottage, set on a hillside a mile from Low Row near Reeth in Swaledale. There are three bedrooms in this cosy property – a king-size double, and a twin which leads to a second twin room. There is also a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC.

Downstairs is a large kitchen with dining area, and a sitting room with an open fire. Outside, there is parking under a car port for one car, additional parking for two further cars, and an enclosed garden, south facing, with a patio and lawned area. With the market towns, waterfalls, footpaths and awe-inspiring scenery of the Dales National Park all around you, High Smarber is ideally placed for making the most of its superb location.

Barking dogs
The cottage is very clean and well equipped with good views, and we don't mind the odd dog barking. However the neighbors dogs bark all night. Previous people have complained about it but nothing has been done and this has been since 2017. The neighbor has lots of dogs which run all over the place and we witnessed him abuse the dogs, which we have reported. If you want a quiet peaceful stay, do not stay here.

High Smarber was amazing, a perfect get away for the week. It is an extremely cosy cottage and is very well stocked. A perfect base to explore the Yorkshire Dales. I cannot recommend it highly enough, we will definitely be returning.
