This was our third stay at Arklehurst so we knew exactly what to expect. It's perfect for us.
We love the cottage, it's warm and cosy with effective heating and lovely coal burning stove for chillier evenings. There are walks straight from the door. It is a beautiful local area with very friendly locals, including in the pub and the hotel/bar within walking distance.

Idyllic! The Perfect Dales Break
We love Arklehurst. This was our second visit and we will definitely be returning again. The cottage is well equipped with everything a self-catering cottage requires. Arklehurst was warm and cosy on our arrival. The coal burning stove made the living room even more cosy and the coal shed was well stocked with coal and kindling. The stone floor in the kitchen was easy to mop when coming in muddy or wet from our walks.
There are beautiful walks in Arkengarthdale right from the door.
The beds are very comfortable too with lovely luxurious duvets to snuggle up in.
The local pub is lovely; very traditional and welcoming-it's only around the corner from Arklehurst. A short walk away is the CB in which serves lovely food and is also worth a visit.
I would highly recommend this property!
