With six bedrooms set over three floors, sleeping up to thirteen people, this character property in the quiet hamlet of Preston Patrick makes a wonderful family base.

This semi-detached character property is set in a small rural hamlet called Preston Patrick, amid lovely rolling countryside just six miles from the pretty town of Kirkby Lonsdale. The cottage has been converted to an extremely high standard, and ensures that character features and stylish décor sit alongside modern comforts. The living area is on the first floor, and boasts a Juliet balcony to enjoy the lovely views, as well as a well-equipped kitchen and a woodburner.

There are doors to a spacious patio, which is shared with the property next door, making this ideal for large groups of friends or family to enjoy the area together. En-suites to some of the bedrooms, and geothermal heating and solar panels mean this cottage is both eco-friendly and convenient for families. Close to both the Lakes and Dales National Parks, this cottage makes a wonderful base for groups.

Cosy large house in Cumbria
Stayed here for a week with my extended family, 8 adults, 2 bairns and a dog. The house was finished excellently and set out well. The living area/dining room and kitchen being all on the same level worked well with great access to the large patio (which was enclosed meaning doggy and kids couldn?t go wondering). We had 4 cars with us and the parking area was large enough to ensure we could all leave without having to move cars around. There was plenty of local walks meaning that we didn?t need to drive too far, however with Kirkby longsdale, Kendal and Grange over Sands well within a 20 minute drive we made the most of this great location. We also ate at the local pub/restaurant in Crooklands, which was lovely food and great service. We were looking for a place to go for our parents 50th anniversary next year, and I believe we have found it.

Home from home
A beautiful house a friendly welcome and a kitchen with all the equipment you could ask for and more. Had a fantastic week and would highly recommend.

The cottage was close to many places for a good day out. The accommodation was brilliant in that the two sleeping floors were separated by the kitchen/living area. The owners were very friendly and helpful beyond the call of duty.

Such a beautiful location and the views were amazing, would highly recommend this excellent cottage and will definitely be booking again, thank you, 5 Star.
Mr Brennan

The property was perfect for the size of our family, it was homely and welcoming with stunning views. Mrs Robinson was very helpful and allowed the children in our party to use the large meadow at the back of the house for playing which was a huge bonus. The facilities in the cottage were very good, we saw lots of the natural world eg hares in the meadow, a baby calf being born and birds of prey in the meadow. The weather was stunning too which made everything seem better.
