This cottage is located in the village of Northlew a picturesque part of the country which has a community shop and pub. Dartmoor is less than four miles away with its stunning landscape granite tors heather moorland and of course the famous Dartmoor ponies; it is even possible to take a guided audio tour. Around six miles from the property is the small Georgian town of Hatherleigh whilst a larger range of shops can be in Okehampton just a slightly longer drive away.
The Cornish coast is within easy reach the family-friendly seaside town of Bude being within a forty-minute drive and Tintagel home to the legendary King Arthur is under an hour s drive away and well worth the trip. On entering this Grade II-listed cottage guests will immediately get a sense of the history here. Visitors should note that there are low ceilings throughout.
The lounge the centre of the house s living space has exposed beams and am attractive fireplace which know houses a wood burner. Cosy up on the comfortable leather sofa and enjoy the TV DVD and hi-fi or perhaps enjoy relaxing with a book in the adjoining snug reading room. There is a choice of rooms when it comes to dining: a more formal dining room seating six as well as the light-filled breakfast room.
The kitchen is accessed via a low 5 doorway and offers seating for two at the breakfast bar. It is equipped with an oven hob fridge freezer dishwasher and microwave. The washer/dryer is housed separately.
Also on the ground floor is a cloakroom with WC. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom is a king-size room which has the added benefit of its own sun room which is accessed via several steps and a low doorway.
The further two bedrooms are a king-size and a twin with 3 beds. The property s bathroom is also on the first floor and offers a shower-over-bath and WC. There is no garden but there is a children s playground just two minutes walk away.
There is parking for one car and additional parking can be found in the free public car park in the village.
