This beautifully converted stable block provides spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to six people whilst still retaining many of its period features.
As part of a conversion of a former stable block this property is an attractive, mid terrace house situated on a quiet lane in the centre of Armathwaite. The cottage has been lovingly restored and decorated to a high standard throughout, in order to provide warm welcoming accommodation. The quality furnishings and minimal, elegant styling complement the period features of the property, including original beams, exposed sandstone walls and a wood burning stove.
The village of Armathwaite itself provides an array of interesting walks and the essential amenities of a shop and two village pubs. Other activities throughout the area are within easy driving distance too.

Lovely cottage - access not easy for disabled.
6 of us stayed here this week. The cottage is fully equipped and full of atmosphere.
A large kitchen, lounge, shower room and a utility room downstairs, and 3 double bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.
Access is up a steep little hill and then through a tiny shared yard. It's very quaint, but gave me some problems as I have walking difficulties.

Already booked for next year.....
Really enjoying our spring stays in The Eden Valley and would not look using this place as our base. The house is clean quirky and comfortable and the host is really easy to deal with.
Armathwaite has two great pubs and lots of walks without needing to get into the car, The Lake district is only a 45 mins drive away. Can't wait till next Spring.

Lovely well equipped cottage that is a very good base for Cumbria, Yorkshire and Scotland. The village is very friendly, great local shop that sells everything and a post Office where you can withdraw cash. There are two very good dog friendly pubs in the village which are a short walk from the cottage. There are also some lovely walks for the walkers. 10/10 all round.

Beautiful Cottage .. Will definitely stay again!
Lovely, well equipped cottage in the beautiful village of Armathwaite. We visited for my birthday Fri - Mon. Everything we needed was there. Even a complimentary pint of milk! 6 of us stayed for 3 nights but wished we could have stayed longer! Bedrooms were abit of a squeeze .. 3 bedrooms all 3 with double beds, 1 huge bath (great for a bubble bath after a long walk!), 3 toilets so with 6 adults there was no arguing for the bathroom! Neighbours and locals were very friendly and often came over whilst we were in the pubs to chat to us. The village Post Office is open 7 days a week (reasonable prices too!) 2 pubs within walking distance, both dog friendly.. the Dukes Head wins out of the two I must say! Overall, we all said we would definitely return to the delightful Eden Grove cottage! Thank you Rachel! :)

A lovely wee cottage which sleeps 6. Very well equipped, great combined kitchen and dining room. Loved the wood burner in the lounge. Looking forward to coming back.
