RECENT CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Ideal place to stay to see Norfolk.
We had a lovely week at Duckling Barn, it was spotlessly clean, very warm and comfortable. There is a large lounge with a good size TV (TV, s in all bedrooms and kitchen), and the kitchen is modern with everything you need. A modern bathroom with an ensuite toilet/wash basin in main bedroom. Parking is a bit tight if you have two cars but plenty of room for one car. The very clean beach, parts of it are dog restricted, is a few minutes' walk away and there is a shop and chip shop and kebab shop very close by. A good Chinese take away within half a mile. The only thing that slightly lets it down is a lack of anywhere to sit outside. There is a picnic bench but this is quite uncomfortable.

DUCKLING BARN IS FILTHY AND SMELLY THIS PLACE RUINED MY HOLIDAY
Smells of dog ,dog hair imbedded in carpet, dog drool on French doors shower filthy. Owners said the pictures we sent them were not the carpet in the barn. So they were basically saying we got a hairy dog and wiped him on a carpet took pictures then sent them to the owners. We have 2 cats and a dog so it's not like we aren't used to having pets but the smell in this place was beyond a joke.As for enhanced cleaning for Covid this place was filthy. If you have very SMELLY drooling dogs this might be the place for you but for normal humans avoid at all costs.

Avoid at all costs- not clean and smells of dog!
Overwhelmed by smell of dog when entering. Carpets and mats covered in dog hair. Dirty lswitches and tiles in kitchen. Shower seal also disgusting and covered in hair. Toaster handle broken and sharp metal edge sticking out Handles broken on chest of drawers. Had to keep all windows open constantly and buy air fresheners and scented candles. So much for extra cleaning measures for Co-vid. This place is not suitable for holiday rentall in current state and owners should be ashamed.. Please note - we stay in 4 self catering cottages every year and this is the first and only one that we have ever had issue with, We don't have passports and champion holidaying in the UK because the standard is generally fantastic and to be highly recommended. This review is honest but disappointing to write as we paid a lot of our hard earned money to stay at Duckling Barn and it was not a good experience at all. You have been warned.

Everything you need & more
A well equipped, well located holiday rental. WiFi, washing machine & dishwasher, TV in all rooms (except bathrooms). Nice powerful shower & parking. There's a good shop and good fish & chip shop a couple of minutes walk from the barn and the beach is only a few minutes walk further. The beach is clean sand for miles & surprisingly unpopulated.
