The 17th century Yew Tree Barn was tastefully converted in 2013. It is set in a courtyard with the owners farmhouse on a working dairy farm and is elegantly furnished and styled to provide a luxurious home from home. Nestled on the Welsh border, in a peaceful rural location adjacent to a 23 acre common, 8 miles from Ross on Wye and 13 miles from Hereford yet within an hour's journey of Cardiff and Bristol, and around 3 hours from London.

Architect designed to maximise living space, the three bedrooms are on the ground floor, with a completely open plan kitchen dining living space upstairs. The slate floored entrance hall leads to three oak floored bedrooms and the main bathroom. The master bedroom has a 5ft oak bed and an ensuite shower room.

The second bedroom has a 5ft oak bed and floor to ceiling windows which overlook the patio and garden. The third bedroom is furnished in pine and has a double and a single bed, it also has large windows overlooking the garden. The pillows and duvets are all feather and down, with designer cotton bedding.

The main bathroom is spacious with a bath and a separate walk in shower. There are complimentary toiletries and all towels are provided. From the hall stairs lead to the first floor and the large vaulted open plan kitchen, dining and living space.

Exceptionally large windows in almost all areas allow a light and spacious environment that is rarely found in barn conversions The kitchen is well equipped, and includes a welcome hamper of local produce. Off the kitchen is a utility room which contains the washing machine & tumble drier, ironing board, cleaning supplies and also extra cupboard space. The dining area has an oak table and chairs.

The main living area has two large sofas and floor to ceiling windows which look out over the garden & paddock. There is a large television with dvd player, and a selection of dvd's, books and games. It is a very sociable area for relaxing and enjoying the views.

Doors from the living area lead onto a small balcony where you can sit and watch the cows in the paddock, or the rabbits playing, and watch the sun set over Garway Hill. There is underfloor heating throughout powered by a ground source heat pump which also heats the water. A travel cot, stair gate and high chairs are available for younger guests, please request these when booking.

The Barn has its own patio with table and chairs for eating outside, and a garden shared with the owners which runs down to a small lake. The lake is deep in places so children should be supervised at all times. We have ghost koi and goldfish, wild mallards, moorhens, coots and a pair of swans which nest every year on the island in the middle.

There is ample parking for several cars. Yew Tree Barn is a comfortable place for holidays all year round, whether you want to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet or whether you want to get out and about and explore the beautiful countryside.
