Amazing experience, would definitely return Me and 9 of my friends stayed at the house travelling from York. The owner, Helen, was very helpful with directions and any other questions or requests we had. The house was very modern and clean when we arrived and all the rooms were lovely. The best part by far was the hot tub which was lovely and easy to control. The beach was only a short walk away and was very quiet and perfect for playing rounders. Overall an amazing holiday and we would love to return again! racheldux 2019-06-28
Lovely house! Me and 7 of my friends stayed in this lovely 3 storey house. Very clean and very spacious. Hot tub was a great perk. Short walk down to Silecroft beach. Would 100% recommend and will definately be returning. helen w 2019-03-18
Perfect! We booked this property as a family of 9 for a weekend away in January! On arrival we were greeted by Sarah, who showed us around the property, gave us the keys, told us we could ring her at any point if we needed anything and also handed us a homemade cake, lovely touch!
The driveway was spacious, enough for 5/6 cars. The house itself is beautiful inside and surrounding, there are two living rooms perfect for our situation - grandad who watched his old films and the kids who watched Netflix in the other! The rooms each had cupboards, mirrors, bedside lamps and chairs overlooking the lovely views! The kitchen had everything we needed, we loved the fact they had two of everything - kettles, toasters! we?ve stayed in big houses before and considering there can be up to 10 or more of you - one kettle is not enough, but the owners here thought wisely! We took advantage of the dishwasher being so many of us and we dined each night in the conservatory where there was a table fit for all. The utility room has a washer, large freezer and more storage space. The house had an iron and ironing board also!
The hot tub outside was the best part! Through the day the views were lovely, we watched the sunset whilst lounging in there! At night we linked our phones to the sound system and played music through the hot tub!
I imagine this place would be even more perfect in summer as the outside area is quite large perfect for a bbq!
If I had to be awkward the house could do with one more bathroom, being only two I found myself waiting a few times to have a shower!
Overall I will definitely be returning and will highly recommend, we had a lovely weekend!! PollyL4 2019-01-29
Wonderful Recently returned from a family of 9 celebration. The house looks much better in real life than the photos and is very big. All the views are stunning and hot tub is awesome! The kitchen is the best room of the house, very large, new appliances and modern. Very nice touch from owners of cake, milk, juice and eggs. The dinning room was in the conservatory so again lovely views and all 9 ate together with enough room. They have 2 lounges, we only used one for playing games. Ample seating and comfy chairs. The bedrooms are big but furniture a little dated and very squeaky in one room. Very large and modern bathroom with free standing bath and walk in shower. The shower did have a mind of its own and kept going hot and cold. Thankfully there is another shower room and toilet down stairs. The do have a smaller kitchen too so enough storage. We really loved the house and would have rated it 5/5 If the bedroom furniture was a little better and shower was ok. The other issue was flies in the house and kitchen. They came off a rose bush in the front porch so be quick at getting in and out of the house. You can walk to beach as about less than 2 mile and pub in village. Wonderful stay and we all really enjoyed it! LymmLife 2018-10-08
Mr Great house right next to a mountain and a mile from a beautiful beach.
The house had everything you could possibly need plus a hot tub.
Thoughtful owners live next door.
We hope to be back soon. ianbB3620XP 2018-09-12
