Great location for a peaceful break yet 30 mins from the lakes
West of the Lakes, but easily within driving distance, we really enjoyed our week in Tower Cottage. Very spacious, everything you could need is available and the views are just fantastic. Back garden overlooking hills, a front sheltered BBQ area we used a couple of times too. Cumbrian Heavy Horses just 5 miles away if you fancy a ride on the 'heavy horses'. You'll usually need to book though. Other than we like to try different places, I'd happily return. The owners live next door and are very friendly and on hand for advice or help in any way they can. A tin of biscuits and tea / coffee facilities are a very welcome touch to greet you on arrival too. A fab week.
