No words could describe this fantastic cottage
This was indeed far more than we had hoped for. The pictures fail to do the cottage justice. It is tastefully decorated and furnished through out with delightful enclosed private garden and off road parking. On the edge of the village only a two minute walk from Ullswater lake and all local amenities. No need to cook suggest you visit The Queen's Head, Tirril , excellent food with polite and friendly staff. Also, close to Dalemane house and gardens, Lowther Hall and Latch Cottage Nurseries all well worth a visit.
We are already planning our return.
Thanks for a lovely holiday.

Simply wonderful!!
We have just returned from a most wonderful stay at the beautiful Blacksmith Cottage. The property is maintained to a very high standard and furnished very comfortably. The shower is excellent after a long day walking and the bed is very comfortable. The garden is an idyllic little walled garden with grass and flowers, garden furniture is provided and it is a lovely area to sit in as it gets the sun for a lot of the day. Blacksmith Cottage has everything you need for a relaxing break in the Lake District and we definitely hope to return again one day.

Cosy and Peaceful - The Perfect Cottage
We loved this gorgeous cottage and were so lucky to find it at such short notice. We booked at midday on the day we were planning to arrive. The turn around time was fantastic and the cottage was all ready for us upon our arrival.
We found it cosy and peaceful and just perfect for a break away from work where we could really relax. It was a great base for exploring the beautiful lake district.
The cottage was clean and very well presented with good quality furnishings. After a day out walking we loved the fact that we could come back to the cottage and relax by the wood burner. The stocks of kindling and wood was replenished for us half way though our stay which we were very grateful for - Thank You!
If you love to stay connected when your on holiday the cottage is equipped with wifi which worked brilliantly for us.
We would definitely return and most definitely recommend!

cosy and rustic cottage
This cottage is a real little gem.
It is furnished to a high standard and has a wood burning stove if things get nippy !
We stayed in June during a bit of a heatwave and found the cottage a cool retreat because of the thick walls.
The small garden is a delight ! Buy some bird seed and just sit back.!
One thing to watch.. Not good if you have bad knees or any mobility issues due to the stairs to the bedroom. All in all, though, we couldn't fault either cottage or location.
