Mrs
I was a bit concerned that this property was last reviewed quite a few years ago! It's a very nice cottage right in the centre of Pooley Bridge . We visited on a very warm Easter weekend and the village was absolutely heaving . I was a bit worried about the noise from the road and the pub opposite but this wasn?t a problem at all because of the double glazing. New sofas in the sitting room make the cottage look better than the photos are . It's well equipped with a lovely garden out the back which was nice to sit in as the weather was so good . Three good size bedrooms with comfy beds . Parking provided in this very busy village ! All the pubs seem to serve the same sort of food and we definitely got a whiff of that from the pub opposite . Close to some lovely walks and the steamer across Ullswater close by . Cooker may need some attention and the internet drops out . All in all a better than expected experience !

Excellent!
Everything about our stay at this cottage was perfect. we will definitely consider returning. The accommodation was well maintained and comfortable. The grounds - shared with the cottage next door - were large enough that you didn't feel 'invaded'. Pooley Bridge is an ideal base. we were lucky in the fact that we had the best weather in the Lakes for about 3 years. We stayed before the School holidays so got a great deal. It wasn't until afterward that we found we could have saved a further 70GBP by booking direct with Park Foot Campsite - the owners. Oh well, live and learn.

Exceeded Expectation
Beautiful location, beautiful grounds, everything relating to our stay exceeded our expectations. The cottage itself has a lot of charm and the gardens and play area are a suprisingly secluded retreat. Set in the centre of Pooley Bridge you have easy access to 4 pubs which each have there own charm and individuality. We will definately be going back and would recommend to anyone.
