Excellent Location
Great location, with view across Weymouth Bay to Portland. The pebble beach is a very short walk away and its situation allows walks to the East or West on the beach, or to Weymouth on a promenade. Drives to Lyme Regis, Portland Bill, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are easily achieved. When we visited in May 2021, I think we were the first booking of the season and the house had been newly redecorated and refurbished; new flooring and some equipment and the owner's feminine touch has added tasteful artwork and, something no mentioned in the description is the hairdryer and TVs in lounge/kitchen and upstairs bedroom. Upstairs is a Bath/shoer with WC and handbasin. The bath /shower could benefit with a grab handle as it can be slippery. Downstairs is a shower room with another WC and basin, a grab handle would be useful here as well. WiFi is of good speed and bandwidth; the router is next door, but password and SSID are provided. I think it would be cramped for 4 adults but, in the summer, dining would be possible outside on the patio on the new wooden dining set, whilst people watching with a sundowner. Parking is rather tight with a large car and there is a ramp at the end of the car park to reach the short pathway to the front door. There is the Oasis Cafe across the car park that serves food and drinks outside at present. A 3 minute walk reaches the local convenience store/post office and the town has a variety of major supermarkets. If we return to Weymouth, we would be happy to stay here again.
