Brilliant
The location of the lodge was excellent right on the cleveland way so ideal for walking, walk to Staithes and Sandsend along the coast path very nice. The lodge was very clean and well equipped we felt right at home, it was lovely and quiet and Christine the owner was very helpful and friendly. The treat was much appreciated! Highly recommend the Ellerby Hotel for food - Steak Pie amazing! as recommended by Christine and the Badger and Hounds very friendly owners. The beach was beautiful although very steep hill down but well worth it, plenty of benches to stop for a rest on the way back up! Thank you for a lovely break after Lockdown just what we needed!

First class
This accommodation was first class, in a beautiful location, peaceful and quiet, a couple minutes walk from the Cleveland way, and within easy reach of some of the most lovely villages in Yorkshire, there is a pub very near but we didn?t use it, we had all the facilities for full self catering it has a gas oven of which I?m not used to but soon got the hang of it, two bathrooms , two bedrooms with comfortable beds, excellent central heating and power showers, as we visited in October we never got chance to sit outside , a very nice welcome basket was left for us and we were met by Glynis who was very helpful and who we met later in the fish and chip shop just down the road by car .Christine was away, but she contacted us at home before we left and messaged us just to make sure everything was ok, would definitely book again but was very unhappy with the way Sykes cottages treated us but Christine and the lodge we were delighted with

A place you would go again and again...
First of all, a massive thanks to Christine who was very friendly and greeted us with wine and breads from the bakery. This a last minuet get away for the weekend and we all loved it, the lounge was dreamy and cosy, the kitchen was perfect for cooking and had plenty of storage and amenities for basic cooking, the beds were amazingly comfortable and the bathrooms were lovely. Not too far from local pub and other small villages before entering into Whitby (9miles). We had a slight issue with the showers (not being able to figure it out straight away) Christine was quick to help and explained a little further on what we had to do and in no time there was no issue. Defiantly a place we would all go back to when the weather is better!! :)

Amazing stay at Holly Lodge.
Me and partner stayed at Holly Lodge to have a relaxing break, and it was definitely that. We had an amazing time. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. On arrival we were greeted by Christine who showed us around and left a hamper filled with lots of treats - we loved it!! Also, the accommodation was very, very clean and the beds were so comfy. We loved it so much we didn't want to leave and we definitely would like to go back again. I would highly recommend Holly Lodge. :) xx

Lovely place to stay!
We stayed at the lodge for the weekend with friends who drove up from Essex. The lodge is beautiful inside and out. Would highly recommend. Lovely touch too leaving wine, chocs, coffee and milk for our arrival. Thank you!
