This traditional Lakeland stone house has great views and open fire and is located in the village of Glenridding near to Lake Ullswater in the Lake District National Park, sleeping four people in two bedrooms.

Seldom Seen is located half an hour's drive from Glenridding village next to Lake Ullswater in the Lake District. The house can sleep 2 adults and 2 children and has two bedrooms, one main bedroom and one bedroom with a built-in bunk bed. On the ground floor is an open plan sitting area with a wood burning stove and a kitchen with flagstone floors.

Offering great views of the fells, the outdoor lawn area has somewhere to sit and on-street parking on the track. Not far from Glenridding, there's access to convenience shops, pubs and hotels serving country food. Perfect for exploring Helvellyn and Lake Ullswater, Seldom Seen offers a quintessential outdoorsy summer or cosy winter stay.

A wonderful and peaceful location.
We stayed for a week at Seldom Seen and what a lovely time we had. The cottage is located on the path to Sheffield Pike and opposite The Brown Hills in the Glencoyne Valley. The track to the cottage is a little rough but can easily be navigated in a family car with a little care. The village of Glenridding is a mile away. The property is well equipped to self-cater (sharp knives for a change) and downstairs is open plan. Bedroom nice and snug with a view to Gowbarrow Fell whilst enjoying your morning cuppa. Small garden with a view down to Ullswater. Very quiet for those seeking a little tranquillity and great walking from the front door.

Cottage when hiked all our belongings up the half mile from path as we could not take our car up the 1ft rut filled track was ok , shower extremely temperamental, stairs very very steep more like a ladder really. we were very limited to what we took up and when we had to get back to cottage at night's as it was pitch black. We are still waiting to hear back from Sykes cottages who appeared helpful on the first day and we are home now, disappointed with place but did enjoy the lakes
