We had a wonderful week in Shamrock cottage in Allithwaite. Had a little issue with the key safe not opening upon arrival but a quick phone call to the owner Jennifer quickly resolved this issue and we were in. It's cute, very nicely decorated in country cottage style and had everything we needed for a family of three. The bedding was lovely and clean with that freshly laundered smell and the towels were the fluffiest we've ever had in any cottage we stayed! The welcome pack (wine, biscuits and milk for that all important first cuppa!) were much appreciated. It is ideally located for visiting the Lakes without being directly in the Lakes, just outside Grange over Sands. We spent every day exploring different parts of the Lakes, such a beautiful part of the world. Too much to see and do so we'll definitely have to come again some time!
