Outstanding place to stay cannot recommend this bungalow enough!
Stayed at Stonecroft for 2nights and did not want to leave. This property has been furnished to the highest of standards and was immaculate throughout. The beds were very comfortable and warm, the bathrooms very clean and the shower was powerful. The main living area has ample space and the kitchen has everything you need if you are eating in. I would like to say The wifi connection was brilliant aswell. The surrounding area is stunning and there are plenty of beautiful walks to go on with a few pubs along the way all serving great food. Will definately be staying here again, cannot recommend enough.

2nd day but felt had to leave review
This property took our breath away. I am very picky and I can say this is the nicest ,well thought out property I have stayed in. Which must have cost an absolute fortune .Regarding CCTV mentioned in previous feedback many holiday homes protect their investment and have it.If I owned Stonecroft I would have a guard outside protecting it let alone CCTV monitoring the outside of this fabulous place ,I actually feel better that my belongings and car is being watched over .Cant wait to win the lottery so I can buy it :-) .We would stay here again without a thought. Oh and thank you for the biscuits and milk it was a nice thought

If you value your privacy then please please please DO NOT BOOK STONECROFT in Darnholme Road Goathland. Within hours of our arrival on Friday the owner Mrs Connie Wiggins had telephoned the management company Sykes Cottages complaining we had a dog at her pet free property. Yes this was very true as the dog was in fact my medical assistance dog Charlie and had already been authorised by Sykes Cottages as he always is when I book on their booking form under assistance dogs which by law are exempt even in pet free accommodation unless clearly stated NO PETS including assistance dogs due to some reason such as a pet allergy. When I contacted Sykes the mangers over this issue I asked them to explain to the owner of Stonecroft that Charlie my assistance dog was never left unattended in the property at any time as he obviously comes everywhere with me. He was confined to the lounge area only which had wooden flooring and had his own dog bed. Furthermore, he was not allowed on any furnishings, taken out for regular walks and had his own towel and wet wipes to be rubbed down if wet or paws needed to be cleaned on return to the accommodation. I went on to explain to Sykes Cottages that if that was not good enough I would go home. This was not a very good start to a relaxing break and was starting to make us feel a little uncomfortable. Then as if that was not enough on the Sunday a note was personally posted through the door at the property which read: ? Dear Guests please could you ensure that all outside lights are turned off overnight to avoid disturbing the neighbours many thanks Connie ?. We found out the owner Connie Wiggins only lives around the corner. Yes the outside lighting was accidentally left on overnight but the only real neighbours are the people living in a farmhouse directly opposite the holiday home. Very petty and again it was the owner spying on us with her remote access CCTV cameras or coming around in her car. We are now actually feeling very uncomfortable as this was the second complaint/incident in a matter of a few days. Then to top it all I began to notice a small red car pull up outside the property on a few occasions that just stopped in the middle of the road right outside the holiday home as if it was watching and checking up on the place. That was it enough was enough. So that day on the Wednesday afternoon after this car pulled up once again watching me come in the front door with the dog we decided to pack up and we went home early on the Thursday. It just felt so creepy and totally uncalled for. So thank you very much Connie Wiggins owner of STONECROFT GOATHLAND for ruining our holiday you should be ashamed of yourself. You are obviously a very distrusting person having to resort to CCTV cameras at the property and a hidden DVR recorder in the top of the mirrored cupboard in the hall of the property. You must indeed have hours of fun watching the footage of your guests comings and goings. We come away to relax and enjoy ourselves not to stressed out by being monitored and spied upon by CCTV cameras and DVR recording devices or indeed being watched from a car It gave us the creeps.
