This leads to a good-size sitting room which has a fabulous, large sandstone fireplace housing a very effective wood burning stove. This is perfect for relaxing with large comfortable sofas to sink into.

The property's many original features includes a ?pulley maid?, a wooden rack for drying/airing clothes which is perfect for when you come off the beach or after a bracing walk across the moorlands. First Floor To the first floor is a wide landing, off which lead three bedrooms; there is a smart double bedroom with a comfortable king-size bed, television and wardrobe.
There is also a twin bedroom decorated in shades of blue with full size single beds and a tall boy. There is a good size house bathroom that has a bath with shower over, WC and hand wash basin.
Outside The front courtyard area has a table and chairs and a BBQ ? a lovely spot for enjoying al fresco dining, whether that's breakfast in the fresh morning air or drinks after dinner, as the stars start to appear.

Wonderful stay
We have just returned from a week's holiday here. The Cottage was well presented, clean and full of charm. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. Only thing that would have made this perfect was a washing machine. The lounge was spacious and comfortable.
Upstairs was much bigger than the photos showed and was very homely.
As the owners were on holiday we were looked after by Sheila and Ian, both were amazing. Sheila was incredibly welcoming and could not do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. Our daughter loved helping you feed the chickens. Ian always greeted us with a smile and too was very welcoming. They are both a real credit to the Estate.
The grounds and surrounding area were stunning and incredibly peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk to Grosmont. The Stepping Stones in Egton are a must and the children wanted to go every evening there.
We had a fantastic meal at the Estates pub, The Horseshoes, which was very tasty.
All in all a wonderful stay and would love to return. Thank you.

Felt like Home!
Lovely, lovely place to stay. We enjoyed a relaxing weekend at the Manor Cottage. The cottage is full of character with plenty of modern comforts. We had all that we needed here. Very helpful unobtrusive owners (including polite children an friendly dogs!). The cottage was very clean, well equipped and everything worked. The location is really quiet but perfect for walking (straight from the doorstep) and for seeing the sights of the North Yorkshire Moors and coast. Good value given the uniqueness of the place.
Thank you for having us!
