Superb well-equipped accommodation with friendly hosts in perfect location
The coach house had everything we needed and more for our week's holiday. I've never stayed in a more well-equipped accommodation, including such small attention to detail like treats and poo bags for the dogs (I had brought my own but found this very thoughtful), and more than enough throws and towels, and a wonderful CD collection for us to use that made us all envious! (we decided it was definitely our era). To top it all, Sarah made us a victoria sponge cake to die for. Middleham is such a lovely little village with plenty of places to eat, and the perfect location for exploring the Yorks Dales. We also managed to go the other way, to Whitby. All in all, the perfect stay. We were so happy here, thank you.

A Fantastic Hidden Gem
The Coach house was a first class holiday rental; living up to expectation. It was roomy with everything we needed. Tucked away behind the owner's B&B it had the luxury of a great garden and deal great deal of privacy.
Tucked away in the town of Middlehem it was well situated for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, without the hustle and bustle of the larger towns on the main tourist routes. The accomodation was just across the road from the magnificant Middleham castle, sronghold of Richard III.
The owners, were hospitable, very welcoming and nothing was to much bother. Thank you for the first class and very moreish chocolate cake.
Thoroughly recommended.

Heaven on a Balcony
A wonderful place, tucked away from the main road, enter through an archway into the peace and tranquillity of this magical garden, an old folly looking rather like a castle wall at the bottom of the lawned garden gives a truly magical quality to this self catering accommodation. The Coach House itself is a really good size, large extremely well equipped kitchen, lots of pots and pans for your use, a big range cooker, for me a dream kitchen. Lounge is a good size also with three big squashy sofas, lots of room for us plus two dogs. Upstairs our bedroom was en-suite with another three seater sofa in, excellent for a lazy hour reading if you so wish, a balcony with French doors and patio set where we would sit and have our morning coffee listening to the birds singing their spring chorus. The bed was a super king size, and the bedding pure cotton of the very best quality, and luxury of a feather duvet, which was the case for all the beds, the bonus of lots of gorgeous smellies also provided, along with big white fluffy towels. The joy every night of an owl hooting at bedtime, this we found great pleasure in, laying listening to him, a rare event these days, we loved it.We feel nothing has been spared in making this a wonderful self catering place for friends and families, and will be booking again next year. The magic of the horses going to and from the gallops in the mornings is great to see, we love Middleham and to us it is truly still a bit of true England to enjoy in an often mad world these days. A heartfelt thank you also to our hosts Chris and Sarah for providing everything we needed, including a SCRUMMY coffee cake, and spotless accommodation.

Thoroughly relaxing, well-appointed family accommodation.
Well-located just off the main square in this attractive, small market town which has its own castle and racing stables - watching the horses in the morning was a real pleasure. The Forgotten Corner, Aysgarth Falls and Based are nearby so there's plenty to do. The house is comfortable, attractively presented and well-disposed. We hope to return in the summer.

The property was excellent and the friendliness of the owners and their staff was absolutely superb. We had a fantastic holiday in an idyllic setting and we most definitely intend to return. Oh and the dogs loved the place too! We've already recommended it to some friends who have booked a week there soon, they'll have a great time I'm sure.
