A home away from home
We had a great weekend here at the beach retreat for 6 adults and 2 children, very comfortable and cosy. The bay is a lovely, quiet complex with the beach right on the doorstep. The kids loved the swimming pool. We will definetly be returning, thanks again for a fab weekend.

Lovely cottage in a great location
Just spent a lovely week in The Beach Retreat. Four adults and 2 young children. Very comfortable and clean with everything you could need. The Bay itself is very nice and well kept to a high standard. I did not see or hear any building work going on as others have stated. The cottage is conviently places with only a short stroll to the pool, gym pub and shop. The shop is a chemist but does have a very limited supply of other essential items such as bread, coffee etc. The beach is around a ten minute walk and is very nice, although there is quite s steep bank so may be difficult for the hard of walking. You can reach Filey town centre by walking left along the beach, this can be done within 30 minutes but make sure you check the tide first. The pool is a bit chilly but quickly warms up. The steam room and sauna are small but perfectly usable. There is also a park for the youngsters. The cottage itself was very relaxing after a full day of activities and I would highly recommend it.

Wonderful home, perfect location
We recently stayed for 7 nights during the school holidays as a family of five. The cottage is clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. It offers great facilities on site and we made ample use of the beach and the swimming pool. The location of the cottage could not have been better, close to Filey, Bridlington, Scarborough and Whitby, it offered us a great base to explore the area. We couldn't fault anything, the cottage had everything we needed and more We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this property. Thank you, we will be back.

Great Break - Beautiful Home
Stayed for the school holiday break in October. The house is great, everything clean and lovely. Large TV, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor seating at the rear. The site is lovely and clean, has the leisure centre which includes a gym and pool - a free access pass is included in the price of the stay - and they also provide various activities such as archery or kayaking at an extra charge (can be booked on line). We ate at both the pub (dog friendly) and the Italian restaurant/pizzeria and can't fault either. It was the school hols so quite busy for being out of season, but we still got great service at both places. The house is situated perfectly on the site. Very short walk to the pub/leisure centre area and just a bit further along to reach the beautiful stretch of beach that you can walk along to Filey sea front. Only a short drive to Scarborough too. We are hoping to go again at some point as we only managed a 4 day mid week break. Enjoyed every minute and would thoroughly recommend.

Late winter getaway, lovely house (home from home)
Lovely holiday home on the bay holiday village at Filey. The beach retreat has a sea theme running throughout. The downstairs was lovely and airy especially liked the open plan layout of the living room and the kitchen. 3 good sized bedrooms upstairs one with an ensuite and also a family bathroom. Lovely view of cliffs from upstairs back bedrooms. Only suggestion would be a baby gate at the top of the stairs, high chair and travel cot are provided. Parking spaces for car either side of the block of houses the property is in, we didnt have any problem getting parked even though we went in february half term. Even though the house is in the middle of the block it was very quiet. Pub and swimming pool on site but we didnt use these facilities during our stay. Filey beach is a short walk through the Holiday village definitely worth walking down to. You can walk to Filey but this is tide dependant. We found The Bay to be well situated and a good base near to Scarborough, filey, bridlington, flamborough and witby. Loved our short break would definitely return.
