A Blissful Break!
We had a wonderful holiday in Shepherds Lodge. After recently staying in a cottage which had been badly maintained, it was a total delight to walk into Shepherds Lodge and find it so clean, beautifully maintained, warm, cosy and everything you could need close at hand. It was so lovely, we were more than content to spend the evenings by the log burner, and cook a meal in the delightful, kitchen. The walks in the area are stunning. So many places to visit, and although we visit the Dales regularly, we never tire of the breathtaking scenery. The week always goes way too fast. We have booked our return visit already. Helen is a great host and obviously understands the needs of cottage holidaymakers!

It was quiet and peaceful, with outstanding scenery. The cottage was marvellous and the owner and her family are very friendly and welcoming. The cottage lacked absolutely nothing and was very comfortable. The view from the dining area was lovely to look out on, rain or shine.
Mrs Wilkie

The cottage was lovely, and furnished with good quality furniture. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. I particularly enjoyed drinking my morning coffee sitting at the dining table whilst looking at the glorious views across the dales.
Mrs Sidwell

Liked the views from the cottage, the walks from the door and in the area, but most of all, the friendliness of the owners and their family. After coming to the Dales for 13 years this is the best cottage we've stayed in.
Ms Starkey

We were made to feel very welcome indeed. Our children loved the space and access to farm life. There was so much to do and see in the area. We were all very happy for the whole week and will return!
