Great Cottage
We have just spent another week at Crabapple cottage, this is a lovely cottage, clean and tidy and very well equipped. Every little thing has been thought out you require nothing. The back garden is large and we spent a few hours in this garden - equipped with picnic table, barbeque, toys for kids and dogs and comfortable chairs to sunbathe. Hinderwell is a typical old village, the people are very friendly, the butchers is worth a special mention - good meat, morning papers and general provisions. Good meals at the Brown Cow, lots of places around to visit both towns and villages. Interesting in Runswick Bay unspoilt little village good beach. Looking forward to returning in October.

Excellent
Great Cottage - we have been to Hinderwell for many years in various cottages this is one of the best. We arrived and parked in the designated place opened the door and wow what a nice welcome. The table was set with welcoming items, bread, Botham's cake, jams, eggs, dog treats to name but a few, plus milk in the fridge. The lovely garden was neatly mowed and contained tables, chairs, barbecue and lots of dog toys. The cottage is modern and very clean with excellent bedding and towels supplied.
The situation is also very good between two pubs both dog friendly with decent food. Fish & chip shop across the road and also a good butchers/general store where you can get your daily paper. Nearby Runswick bay has a great beach and is great for walks. Near to Whitby & Middlesbrough and many other nice places, we walked down to Boggle Hole and enjoyed the super coffee shop at the Youth Hostel. We are booking again very soon.

Great week away
Would highly recommend this lovely cottage with a lovely enclosed long garden perfect for dogs in a lovely welcoming village. Cottage is really comfortable and is fully equipped for everything you need. A nice welcoming pack on arrival including doggy treats. The cottage is perfectly situated to get to Staithes, Saltburn and Whitby. Would recommend the local walk to Runswick Bay. Would love to be able to come again.
