Amazing house!
A group of 10 of us stayed at The Trainers House to celebrate my 30th Birthday in December 2018. The house was huge, plenty big enough for 10 people - could have easily fit more. The sitting area was really spacious and perfectly set out for a large group, as was the kitchen with two large tables and plenty of seating. The kitchen had everything you could need (we did a huge Christmas Dinner and there wasn't anything we needed that we couldn't find). The fridge is plenty big enough, the freezer is on the small side if you're thinking of bringing any frozen items but there is also a small freezer in the stop of the fridge in the utility room/bar room next to the living area. The garden is huge and would be gorgeous in summer, one thing worth noting is that the property is advertised as dog friendly but there are gaps in the hedge towards the front of the property so the garden isn't enclosed and it does lead onto quite a busy road. If you have a small dog make sure you keep a close eye on them as our dog ran through the hedge onto the main road twice which meant we had to prevent him from having full use of the garden off his lead which was a shame - but this wouldn't stop us staying and bringing our dog with us again, just something worth keeping an eye out for! The horses are really friendly we fed them a small amount of carrots daily, they come right up to the garden to see you if you call them, but at the same time if you don't like horses they wouldn't be any bother. The pool was one of the highlights of our stay, it's much bigger than it looks on the pictures. We all had a great time in there and took loads of inflatables - it's very warm, too. All of the bedrooms are spacious with a few en suites, there are three showers to use including en suite bathrooms which was plenty for a group of 10. There's a downstairs WC and a main bathroom on the first floor. Dave was super helpful and nothing was too much trouble, any questions we had were answered straight away and he was happy to provide more newspapers and kindling for the fire when we ran out. We loved our stay and if we were to plan another group trip away I wouldn't hesitate in booking The Trainers House again!

Superb venue for a birthday celebration
We booked the ?trainers house? to celebrate my BIG birthday!! To accommodate 14 adults. Obviously when booking something for such a big occasion it is always a concern that things won?t live up to your expectations, No worries there. When we arrived Dave showed us round the house which is a maze of rooms and staircases. The bedrooms were large and a mixture of double and twins. We let everyone choose their rooms as they arrived and everyone seemed happy with what they got. My son and his partner had to have the study which is a bedsette. They said wasn?t the best sleep they had as it dipped in the middle and they had to turn round as they felt the bottom was higher than the top. This room would be much better converted into a proper bedroom or just put a proper bed in it. The house is so large everyone had enough space and it never felt overcrowded. We had fun in the pool as the weather was fantastic. The outside area is lovely overlooking the fields with roses running around behind the pool was a lovely sunny spot and the pool house doors open onto it. The kitchen is very well equipped to feed 14 people (take plenty of dishwasher tablets with you) the welcom pack including 2 bottles of wine and a welcome card was a lovely gesture. Plenty of toys and games to keep everyone occupied. The second utility room off the sitting room was brilliant as it made a fantastic bar. Bath and pool towels are provided but take your own face towels if needed. We all had a wonderful time and everyone was sad to leave would love to come back.

Outstanding Property
Had a great long weekend here. The house was fabulous- so much room and family dogs were welcome. The swimming pool proved very popular!

Perfect size, perfect pool, perfect house.
Stayed at the trainers house for my 60th birthday. Age ranges from 3 to 86. Huge house, loads of space for kids to run around. Mix of old and new and was just a great place to stay. Indoor private pool was the icing on the cake, kids were in at least twice a day. Would recommend to anyone.
