It houses two bedrooms, comprising a double with a with Jack-and-Jill en-suite shower, basin and WC, and a twin (zip/link beds can be made into super-king-size with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath, basin and WC. Completing the interior is a kitchen/diner, a utility and a sitting room with a woodburning stove.
Outside, there is off-road parking and a rear garden with furniture. The Barn at Orchard Farm is a delightful base for exploring the countryside with loved ones.

Peaceful retreat!
We had booked our stay at The Barn long before the coronavirus problem. We decided to go ahead with our break as we could still isolate and maintain social distancing. Firstly, the owners, Barry and Debbie, could not have been more friendly and helpful, a lovely couple. The Barn itself is fabulous! It's very clean and spacious with wonderful views across open fields to the rear. It's comfortably furnished with lots of nice bits of attention to detail. Unlike some cottages we've stayed in, this felt very homely and not a clinical holiday home without warmth or character. The bed was gloriously comfortable and, I don't know what the bedding was washed in, but it smelled wonderful! The village of Moor Monkton is small, quiet and sleepy, which was perfect for our getaway. In normal circumstances, it is ideally situated for York and The Dales. When the world is normal again, we shall return.
