There is an ill-lit vaulted passage leading from the cloisters towards Green Court. This is 'Dark Entry', where, according to the Ingoldsby Legends, the ghost of Nell Cook wanders. Should you meet the ghost, beware! The legend says that you will soon perish. No, seriously. Actually the story was a complete fabrication by RH Barham, author of the Legends, and a native of Canterbury.
