The pigs were fun to watch too. Our dog Mia enjoyed watching them and made friends with the neighbours dog .We found it a perfect base to travel to various places .It was great to come back to in the evening and sit in the garden and relax with views to die for .Would definitely come back just FABULOUS

Well located, beautiful barn!
I stayed for 3 nights in late February and enjoyed a wonderful weekend. The barn is super, well located for Cotehele, Buckland Abbey, Rame Head and numerous country walks to enjoy. The countryside is unspoilt, uncrowded, wonderfully green and near to Dartmoor. The barn is cosy, well equipped, log burner, comfy bed, great shower and fabulous patio with views. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Beautiful relaxing place
Mugwell Barn is delightful. The barn itself, and the grounds have all been completed to a very high standard. So well equipped, the best we have been in ( and we have been in a few self catering places!). Views were incredible, so peaceful, it's a pleasure to sit and listen to the birdsong morning , noon and night. The bed is large and comfortable ( we slept well every night).Good pubs nearby, although you do need a car. The lanes surrounding are narrow, but plenty of passing areas, and the banks and hedgerows are so pretty in the spring. We really enjoyed the week, the owners have worked incredibly hard, and though onsite, they were very unobtrusive. The welcome and the homemade scones, clotted cream and jam got us off to a fantastic start. Very reasonably priced for the week we went, would easily go again.

Peace and quiet by the bucketload
Perfect, modern, refurbished barn tucked away in a quiet little haven of Cornwall. Lovely comfortable bed and we sleep on a Vi-Spring at home, so are very fussy!
The owners were discreet and provided lots of little extra touches (scones, clotted cream, jam, orange juice, milk, bread, butter and a bottle of wine) - not necessary but very welcome additions. Never stayed at a rented holiday home that was so well equipped with the inclusion of kitchen roll, loo rolls, air freshener, dishwasher tabs - you name it - it was provided. Wonderful walks nearby, don't miss Louis's cafe up by Kit Hill.
All in all had a superb week in this little gem of a find which I recommend greatly.

Peaceful
Spent a lovely week down in Cornwall & found this cottage to be a peaceful & tranquil retreat. The view from the patio is stunning & sitting out there in the morning or on a warm evening was glorious.
It should be noted that as the cottage is quite remote the roads to it are little more than single tracks which caught us by surprise, as the hedge rows are tall you loose a sense of direction it took us a few goes to find it even with sat nav.
The cottage itself was everything we had hoped for, well equipped & an ideal base for two.
We would recommend taking a few good DVD' s to watch when it's dark outside & a good supply of food to save trips to the nearest supermarkets which are a good 15 minute drive away.
