Cornwall Self Catering cottage, Tops'l Cottage, Falmouth, sleeps 6

Didn't meet expectations
We arrived end September and stayed for 7 days. We visited as four adults with one child & a small dog. On arrival we were shocked and disappointed to discover the parking permits are not by the cottage. I feel this needs to be clearly listed as this was a problem for one of our guests qho is aged 72. On entry the cottage is welcoming and looked clean. A few hours into our stay we discovered lots of issues that were going to impacton our stay. The table in the kitchen comfortably seats 4 not 5 and definitely not 6. The lounge is the same. Seating for 4 people. Our son had to sit on the floor!. This cottage is not suitable for 6 people. The cottage has a log stove but no wood was left even though it is advertised in the pictures. We found that really disappointing and feel that should be included in the cost. The cottage is severely short on storage. No wardrobes at all, hooks to hang clothes but nowhere near enough hangers. No full length mirror anywhere. The dvd player dosnt work which really upset my son and the games had parts missing The cottage has 2 bathrooms, however, the Shower is off the kitchen so anyone wanting a shower must walk through the kitchen, hall and upstairs. Again this was an issue for us. The back yard could be beautiful but unfortunately it needs some tlc, weeding and the bbq is filthy. We struggled to find recycling tubs and bins. Positives- there were some. The location was good. Easy access to restaurants and town. The kitchen was well equipped and the decor was nice. The permits were helpful.
