This charming, detached cottage sits in a fantastic coastal position in the village of Porthtowan in Cornwall, and sleeps four people in two bedrooms.

Seacott is a quirky, detached cottage perched at the top of the cliffs of Porthtowan in Cornwall, boasting beautiful, far-reaching sea views. With two bedrooms, one double with en-suite bathroom and one ground floor children's bunks bedroom, this cottage can sleep four people. There is also a ground floor family bathroom and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburner.

Outside is off road parking for one car, and from here 40 steep steps lead up to access the cottage with its private, decked garden with sea views. Seacott offers an unusual, yet wonderful base from which to enjoy beach life at its best.

lovely location
we had a great holiday with our two doge set up on the cliff with lovely views over the bay, nice walks on the south west coast path, the blue bar on the beach does amazing dirty chips a menu to die for children and dogs welcome, will be going back in october where the cozy wood burner will come in handy would recommend this property

Excellent for short seaview break
Booked a two night break for 2 people and dog through airbnb. The chalet is fine, with abundant electric heaters and an ancient woodburner (we took our own dry logs and kindling which always helps) and were snug despite near 5/0C day/night temperature in February. Yes there are steps leading up from the car parking area, but certainly didn't notice them being particularly steep. We could see the beach and sea from both the living room and the main bedroom upstairs and it takes about 5 minutes to walk to the beach. There is a pub, village shop and several small cafes all within within very close proximity but we had a very quiet and peaceful stay. There is, at the time of writing anyway, a 4 burner gas cooker with grill and oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, combi boiler for hot water to kitchen sink and bath in the upstairs ensuite, tv with dvd player, untried. The double bed upstairs has a comfortable mattress. The bunk room mattresses are tired, but I doubt children would notice. Mobile signal for O2 anyway is non-existent. There is good broadband. Anna the owner lives next door and is friendly and approachable. One day we drove 30 minutes to Lelant Saltings, parked the car ?2.80 all day and took the train to St Ives costing ?4rtn pp along a spectacularly beautiful 10 minute train track alongside the sea. Also struck luck with it being a Thursday and finding the fabulous St Ives weekly Farmer's Market which was really excellent and yielded delicious dhal and Indian snacks, sushi, cake, veg and so on. Also recommend heading up the coast to Tevaunance Cove (St Agnes) and trying a "Beer Flight" of 3 x 1/3 pints of real ales at the Driftwood Spas Hotel which has it's own on-site brewery.

The cottage was perfect for us. We went away for a restful stay with the grandsons, they loved the beach and swing park being so close and the view which was amazing, it was lovely to lie in bed and listen to the stormy sea.
Mrs Simpkin

A lovely property, fantastic location for exploring the coast with our dogs. We were made very welcome by the owner.
