Little gem
Had a lovely stay in this beautiful mill conversion as two couples and two dogs. Rosemary could not have been more helpful regarding the facilities and area. If you want a peaceful stay near to beaches and lovely gardens this is the place. Would go back again like a shot!!

A DISGRACEFUL experience !!!!
Arrived and parked in front of Mill Cottage , we were greeted by Rosemary who gave us all the information we required. We originally booked for 7 nights however unfortunately we had to cut short our stay as we needed to return home for a hospital appointment which was for my mothers prognosis for lung cancer and a brain tumour, so it was just a few days to gather some breathing space before the trauma to come. We unpacked and settled in, it was quite cold inside and the thermostat didn?t work so there was no heating available just an electric heater in the bedroom, so put on an extra jumper and went to bed. We have a Tesla which obviously requires charging so this was plugged in overnight on Economy 7 at a total cost of £1.80 (To charge to full actually costs ?9.80 we were literally topping up as we?d used a supercharger on the motorway) We came out ready for our day ahead to be approached by an elderly man (owner) who proceeded to very rudely tell us we should not park in front of the cottage (nothing said by Rosemary on arrival) and then told my husband ?and how dare you steal electricity for the car, you've stolen £40 of electricity!!? Stunned into silence!!! My husband just stood there whilst this vile man accused us of stealing! He then turned around and walked off saying we could not charge the car! It's always good to have your facts correct if you're going to throw accusations against somebody? if he's bothered to check he?d have discovered it cost significantly less than the £40 he so flippantly and rudely threw at us. We went to padstow and decided to find somewhere else to stay for the remaining 3 days at a further cost of ?750 as neither of us could bare to stay back at Mill Cottage having been treated so disgracefully. *Note to owner?.. Sir , if you're in the hospitality industry I strongly recommend you don't accuse your paying guests of theft without first collecting your facts!! We paid you for 7 nights at £1304 which we were only using for 4 nights 'so hey keep the change! This more than covers the £1.80 of electricity it cost to charge the car overnight!!! Clearly it's time to retire from the hospitality sector as you have become rude and very out of touch with how to treat guest with dignity and good manners! I would most definitely NOT recommend to ANYONE?. It's cold, old and basic ? very much like it's owner!!
