This character cottage?is 4 miles from Falmouth and can sleep 4 people in two bedrooms (5th guest?welcome on request at £50 additional charge).

Nanparra Cottage is a traditional and cosy cottage in a rural village setting 4 miles from Falmouth resort. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms; master with double and single bed and twin bedroom (additional 5th guest welcome on request at GBP 50). There is a modern shower room.

The ground floor is open plan with sitting area, stone hearth, ceiling beams and a dining space through to the separate kitchen. At the front is a pretty sunspot enclosed and slightly elevated patio courtyard with garden furniture and off road parking to the side for one car. With country views, close to the village pub and store, plus a 15 min walk to Maenporth Beach, Nanparra Cottage is very appealing.

Controlled from Cambridge.....
This is a comfy, clean and well equipped cottage, with good quality fittings. It has excellent wi-fi and is handily situated for a variety of interesting places like Falmouth, the Helford river, and Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens. A bonus is the fact that, although it's situated on a relatively quiet country lane, it's served by an excellent hourly bus service between Falmouth and Helford Passage. I didn't have to do much driving whilst staying there, which was relaxing. In fact, you could probably do without a car entirely. Why the owners and the managers, Sykes Cottages, don't promote the existence of this service puzzles me. I'm not greatly impressed by Sykes Cottages. What information they could give me about the cottage was not always accurate. A more local company would be likely to be more familiar with the property and so better able to answer queries about it. As for the cottage itself, I only have a couple of gripes. The first concerns the heating system, which is not controllable from within the property, but only by contacting the owners, who live in Cambridge. Whilst they're responsive to such requests, it's a pain not to have the capacity to do it yourself, and I was either too hot or not warm enough at times. The second is the lack of local information within the cottage, e.g. the location of the nearest beach, supermarkets, where to park (there is in fact off-road parking adjacent to the cottage). Still, don't want to be unduly critical. I'd certainly recommend a stay here, and would be happy return here myself - not something I'd say about a number of holiday cottages I've stayed at!
